The Brand Clarity Score
Three things decide whether your marketing spend turns into customers: whether a stranger understands what you do, whether they believe you can do it, and what happens in the hour after they reach out. This scores all three, and tells you which one is costing you the most.
What it measures
Marketing rarely fails everywhere at once. It fails in one of three places, and each failure produces its own symptoms — which is why a business can be doing everything right and still watch the phone stay quiet. Answer the twelve statements as your business actually behaves this month, not as you intend it to behave. An honest low score is useful. A generous one is not.
Message
Can a stranger tell what you do, who it is for, and why you rather than the other quote they are collecting? Four statements about the top of your homepage, your one-sentence difference, and how often you get price-shopped.
Proof
They understand the promise. Do they believe you specifically can keep it? Four statements about named results, real photography, what shows up when someone searches you, and whether your site builds momentum or kills it.
Follow-up
A lead arrives at 4:50pm on a Thursday. Four statements about what happens in the next hour, what happens on day four when they have not replied, and whether any of it survives a busy week.
Score your business
Twelve statements. There are no trick questions and there is no right answer.
What the number does not tell you
Twelve statements cannot audit a business. This is triage: it tells you which of the three systems to look at first, and it is usually right about that, because the three failures do not feel alike. Message problems feel like price pressure. Proof problems feel like slow decisions. Follow-up problems feel like bad luck.
It will not tell you how much revenue you are losing. Any tool that claims to calculate that from twelve answers is guessing, and usually guessing high. And if your three scores come back within a point of each other and all above ten, you probably do not have a systems problem at all — you have a volume problem, and nothing on this page will fix it. We will say so rather than sell you something.
Questions
How long does it take?
About four minutes. Twelve statements, four options each, and one screen for your name and email so we can send you a copy of the result.
What do I actually get at the end?
Three numbers out of twelve — one each for message, proof and follow-up — a total out of thirty-six, and a written diagnosis of whichever one came back weakest, with the fixes in the order we would do them. It is the same order of operations we use on paid engagements.
Is this just a lead magnet?
It is a lead magnet, and it is also a real diagnostic. Both things are true. You give us an email address; you get a genuine answer, including the answer that you do not need us. If the assessment tells you all three systems are working, that is what it will say.
Who is it for?
Owners of established local service businesses — roughly one to ten million in revenue. Contractors, HVAC, dentists, law firms, med spas. If you are pre-revenue or pre-website, the questions will not have honest answers yet.
Would rather just talk it through?
The assessment is there because most owners would rather get an answer without a phone call first. If you already know which of the three is broken, skip it and bring your numbers instead.
